About My Place
My Place is an exciting online store for wonderful fabrics, patterns and books for home sewing and quilting. I love the new and vibrant styles of today's fabric designers and tend towards the bold and colourful designs rather than the traditional small prints of yesteryear. That's not to say there aren't some fabulous quilts incorporating the traditional with the funky. Finding ways to use your stash with the bolder new prints is a challenge that results in some really interesting quilts.
Simple garment sewing is also a passion and I have a wonderful selection of patterns for beginners to the more advance sewers. It's so much fun to wear something you've made yourself and sewing for children is a perfect way to get started if you haven't sewn before.
If sewing isn't your interest then we also have a selection of cushions in fabric and silk to liven up your decor and bags and clothing you won't find everywhere.
You can visit us in person at a My Place open day held the first Saturday of the month at our warehouse in Mittagong. You can shop for the latest fabrics, kits and other goodies and take a class while you are there. To find out about the latest classes and open day dates check the calendar.
